WELCOME

Welcome, this blog is for the purpose of providing a historical document of all of the music I played on KKFI radio 90.1 FM Kansas City during my time as a Programmer/Host from October 2010 to June 2016. Please note that the playlists will begin in the spring of 2011 as I was not keeping a list of my sets prior to that, my apologies. I began the program unexpectedly when the previous host for the time slot, my friend Curt Mason, passed away unexpectedly. The time slot ran from midnight to 5 A.M. weekly Tuesday overnights/early Wednesday mornings. I did not always do the show every week, there was another Programmer sharing responsibility for the shows, and sometimes I did not program all 5 hours of a particular week, but only a portion, therefore, some playlists will be much lengthier than others. I was initially going by the nickname "Rock N Roll Strongman" and was playing more hard rock and punk type material, over time I morphed into "Hypnotronic Man" and focused more on psychedelic material. I did a total of 211 programs during my time at KKFI, this blog chronicles the last 188 of those.
